While we are not equipped to meet the needs of all children, Living Word has developed a series of children’s ministry environments or experiences which are diverse in nature and present a well-rounded approach to ministering to as many children as possible.

    Fusion, our 3-D Sunday morning children’s church environment for 1st – 6th graders, is held in our Multipurpose room. Here, kids experience a high energy stage production that combines music, drama, lighting and sound to teach the relevant truths of the Bible in a way that is easy for kids to understand and apply. It’s a great way for kids to introduce their friends to God and church!

Linked LifeGroups for Kids is the Family Ministry process of “CONNECT” (small groups) for children here at Living Word!   LifeGroups meet during the latter half of Fusion Children’s Church in our Multipurpose Room (Gym).Groups are designed to meet the specific needs of each age group. Groups range in size from 5 -12 children who will meet consistently together from week to week. Groups of children in 4th grade and above will meet separately by boys or girls only. Should a child attend both services regularly he or she will be assigned to a specific group in each service. We also have a special group just for visitors who are new to our church. Should a new child visit with one of our regular attendees they may be in the same group as their friend provided their ages and gender are compatible.

Each group will have one adult leader and possibly an adult or teen assistant leader. It is their mission during group to facilitate the discovery for each child of what the Word of God means to him or her personally and how he or she can apply it in their daily life. We encourage you to make every effort to get to know your child’s Life Group leader.   LifeGroup leaders are here to partner with you and to provide another consistent adult voice that will speak into your child’s life the same things you would. All our Life Group Leaders must clear a volunteer application process and a full background check before they are eligible to serve in a group.

  • Fun Zone is our Friday night environment for 1st – 6th graders held in our Multipurpose room . We know after a long week your kids need a place to relax and have fun… Fun Zone is just the place! Chocked full of variety, from the contemporary worship to arts and crafts, from character building teachings to games like Play Station 3 and Wii, your kids will look forward to Friday night all week!
  • Kid Leaders is our volunteer training experience to prepare kids to lead in ministry. Kid Leaders meets regularly throughout the year during our Sunday morning services. We believe in ministry by kids for kids to kids! Here, your child will have the opportunity to learn how to serve God and their peers during our services. Children can choose to serve in up to three different ministries depending on their grade; including worship singers, worship motions, ushering and hostessing, sound, video altar and prayer. Kid Leaders provides children with the preparation they need to serve God and reach their generation for Jesus Christ!

    Turbo's Treasures is our Sunday morning prize booth experience. Children who earn points during service can use them to buy prizes at Turbo's Treasures. Turbo is our lovable turtle friend character who visits Fusion Children’s Church from time to time. Turbo wanted to teach children the blessing of obedience and responsibility, so he decided to open a store and offer prizes to kids who were doing right.

     

    During service, children earn points for attendance, bringing their Bible, doing their homework, knowing their memory verse, serving, participating and bringing a friend. All points earned are stamped on their very own Turbo's Treasures Card and are redeemable for prizes at Turbo's Treasures!

    Extreme Zone Game Room is our special video game experience just for 1st – 8th graders! Here, up to 24 students at a time can connect with their friends and enjoy family-friendly video games! Extreme Zone is open each Sunday between services from 10:10 - 10:50 a.m. for children accompanied by a parent.

  • Special Events

    We plan some really cool activities and events throughout the year such as our Kids Crusade (June) and Vacation Bible School (July) just to name a few! Each event provides an excellent opportunity for your child to reach their friends for Jesus Christ! Watch for information in our bulletin, take home pages or online.
