What curriculum do you use?
Children will not remember what they do not understand, and consequently, can’t live what they don’t know. We use a variety of curriculums which we believe are the very best available. Good curriculum should give the child knowledge of the Bible, and more importantly, guide the child into the use and application of God's Word. We desire to give our kids the same high quality teaching that their parents receive in the sanctuary at a level that is geared for them. From the time a child is born until the time they graduate high school, he or she will experience only 940 weekends, and we want to make the most of every one of them!
Our Sunday morning services use:

Gospel Light curriculum with our 1st and 2nd graders. Gospel Light provides a strong foundation of understanding the accounts in the Bible while ministering the love and care of God for His children and our love and care for others.
252 BASIC curriculum for 3rd – 6th graders. We believe in teaching less for more – repeating one key truth “virtue” each month for retention and application. We seek to engage all five of a child’s senses through creative activities. Each week is full of drama, object lesson and interactive opportunities for kids to participate. Our goal is to help each child master one Bible Truth or “Bottom Line” each week, creatively repeating it in a way that will stick and kids can walk away and do!
We believe 252 Basic give us the best opportunity to develop young fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ and achieve all four of LWM’s core values – love, connect, serve and reach. 252 Basic centers around three principles that work themselves out in real ways in a child’s daily life.

-
I need to make wise choices.
- I will trust and follow Jesus.
- I will spend time getting to know God.
- I will do whatever God says.
- I will discover God’s unique plan for my life.
-
I can trust God no matter what!
- Because he is my Creator.
- Because Jesus is my Savior
- Because He is my Father.
- Because the Holy Spirit is my Guide.
-
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
- So I will show God’s love to those around me.
- So I will care enough to put others before me.
- So I will respect whoever God puts over me.
- So I will be a right friend to those beside me.
How does Fusion keep parents involved in their child’s experience at church?
We desire to keep parents informed on what their child is learning here at Living Word. Therefore, each week your child will receive a refrigerator door handout, or “The Fridge Page,” as we like to call it and a "God time Card. These are an age-appropriate take-home pages that is, you guessed it, designed to hang on your refrigerator door! The "Fridge Page" gives you, the parent, an overview of the monthly character virtue and its definition, a monthly memory verse, the weekly bottom line, a question to prompt discussion and a preview of what we'll be talking about next week. This flyer has a summary of what your child learned during church, as well as some ideas for how to incorporate that week’s lesson into your child’s daily life. Please note the “Practice Point” section on the back, where you can help your child learn responsibility and earn points to spend at our Max* Mart prize booth by using the "God Time Card." The "God Time Card" provides your child with four different activities to apply at home what they have learned in church. Please check off the activities your child has completed and sign your name. Then have your child return the "Practice Point" page next week when he or she comes to church to earn points!
